National Society of Hispanic MBAs holds panel discussion

Updated: Monday, November 30th, 2009

The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs held a panel discussion to help attendees boost their business careers earlier this month.

The conference, entitled Personal Strategies for Success, featured speeches from area executives detailing their views on and recommendations for personal success.

Panelists included a chief compliance officer, managing partner, vice president of associate relations, diversity and compliance, vice president of operations as well as a regional vice president from local companies.

Tillie Hidalgo Lima, CEO of Best Upon Request, a concierge service, moderated the event.

The discussion was held at the corporate headquarters of Luxottica Retail, which sponsored the forum.

Gema Bahns, president of the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, said the event aimed to provide attendees with "a compelling panel discussion" that could foster their career development.

Associates, bachelors and masters programs may open doors to similar events that may help professionals accelerate their careers.

PayScale.com, a research company, says that average salaries for holders of MBA degrees ranged from $73,510 to $171,583 in 2008, depending on the field, position and years of experience.
